The film is directed by Anurag Singh and produced by his wife Kiran Rao under the banner of Fox Star Studios. It features Ranveer Singh in the titular role of Ram and Alia Bhatt playing his love interest Paro. The film describes the story of two rogue brothers who take to crime after witnessing their family's destruction due to dishonesty in society at large. However they are soon hunted down by a private investigator (Priyanka Chopra) with ties to India's intelligence agency RAW. PLOT: Ram and his lover, Paro (Alia Bhatt) live in the small town of Mandwa. Their families are enemies, but the two lovers do not care and get married secretly.
